Borys Zakharov is the head of the board of the Humanitarian Studio "Khvylia" and as the
director of the "Human and Law" Charitable Foundation. He is also a TV presenter on
Espreso TV, and a human rights defender.
Humanitarian Studio "Khvylia" has been active for 27 years, organizing numerous projects
and festivals, including the International Project and Festival "Art of Tolerance," the
International festival “Jazz Bez,” Forum “Via Carpatia,” "Music of Freedom," and more.
They have also participated in international diplomatic and interparliamentary platforms such
as the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, OSCE Ministry
Meeting in Hamburg, HDIM OSCE in Warsaw, Ukraine-Israel Interparliamentary Meeting in
Jerusalem, and the Ukrainian Parliament.
Initiated in 2018, the "Via Carpatia" Forum is an annual International Forum of Central and
Eastern Europe. It encompassing festivals, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, and the "Circle
of Vincenz" conference, serving as a platform for discussing regional development issues.
Since 2007, the "Art of Tolerance" Platform has nurtured intercultural dialogue, tolerance,
and multiculturalism through international festivals, educational programs, scientific
conferences, art exhibitions, and human rights advocacy.

Since 1990, Ilya Bortniuk has been involved in the music business as an art-director
of a music club, had his radio show, a head of a music label, and A&R Director of
local artists of a Russian major record company, represented by EMI, Virgin, Mute.
In 2001 Bortniuk founded Light Music Company, which has become one of the
leading independent promoting companies in Russia. LM company has signed a
majority of notable artists, including Kraftwerk, Dead Can Dance, PJ Harvey, Alt-J,
Franz Ferdinand.
Apart from organizing numerous concerts, the LM has produced several music
festivals, the best known of which is the StereoLeto festival.
Stereoleto (Stereo Summer in Russian) based in St.Petersburg is the oldest
independent international annual summer festival of contemporary and alternative
music in Russia, noted as a pioneer among the open-air music festivals in Russia.
The festival presents a handpicked selection of the most interesting, fresh, and
forward-thinking musicians. Since 2002 and during its 19 years of history Stereoleto
has hosted many artists, such as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, David Byrne,
Massive Attack, Regina Spektor, U.N.K.L.E., Royksopp, Buena Vista Social Club,
and many others.
An additional festival has been organized by LM since September 2017 – Tchasty
Sveta festival (Elements of Light in Russian) – the first annual world and roots music
open-air festival in St.Petersburg.

Ruth Fisher is a highly respected jazz presenter in the UK and internationally for her
deep knowledge and unwavering passion for the genre. During her long career as a
broadcaster and curator on Jazz FM and One Jazz, she has developed a warm,
enthusiastic, and informative presenting style.
Throughout her career, Ruth has interviewed hundreds of musicians, including
DeeDee Bridgewater, Jazzmeia Horn, Al Jarreau, Roy Ayers, Zara McFarlane,
Christian McBride, Carmen Lundy, John Altman, Kenny Garrett, and Fred Hersch.
Notably, she was the first person in the UK to interview Gregory Porter in 2010.
Additionally, she has spoken with well-known figures outside of the music industry,
such as Lord Sebastian Coe and journalist and author Tim Marshall.
Beyond her broadcasting role, Ruth is actively involved in shaping the programming
for various jazz festivals, including the Cambridge Jazz Festival and the Gibraltar

She collaborates closely with the Musical Director of the Red Sea Jazz Festival. She
participates as a panelist and judge in international showcases in Spain, the Balearic

jazz in Israel, the development of jazz education, the current scene, and the "Israeli
jazz big bang" that began in the 1990s. It will also feature captivating photos and
biographies of 80 prominent musicians.
